Thin Brick

Thin brick is substantially thinner than face brick. Thin brick has been used in construction for a long time.

Thin bricks are often, but not always, ceramic, and are formed of clay and shale, just like their full-size counterparts. Cement, fiberglass, and other artificial materials are used to make some thin bricks.
