Coverage is an estimating allowance. Confirm the mortar joints, wall construction and final quantities with your builder.
At approximately 33 bricks per m², Maxi 90 bricks require 40% fewer individual units than a stock-brick estimate of 55 bricks per m².
For a 100 m² wall area, that means approximately 3,300 Maxi 90 bricks compared with 5,500 stock bricks, before wastage.
Fewer units can reduce the number of bricks handled and laid. Actual savings in labour, mortar and total building cost depend on product prices, wall design and site conditions. A 40% reduction in brick count does not mean a 40% reduction in building cost.
These NFP bricks are intended for masonry that will be plastered, including walls in homes, extensions and commercial buildings where the product meets the building specification.
Their fluted finish will be covered by the specified plaster system. Confirm strength and exposure requirements with your builder or engineer when selecting bricks for structural walls or demanding conditions.
To estimate Maxi 90 bricks for a single brick layer:
Net wall area × 33 = base brick quantity
Calculate net wall area by multiplying wall length by height, then deducting relevant door and window openings.
For an example 5% wastage allowance:
Net wall area × 33 × 1.05 = estimated order quantity
A wall measuring 10 metres long × 2 metres high, without openings, has an area of 20 m²:
