These NFP bricks are intended for masonry that will receive a plaster finish. They can be considered for walls in homes, extensions, boundary walls and commercial buildings where the product meets the building specification.
NFP identifies the intended plastered application; it does not state the brick’s compressive strength. Confirm the required strength and exposure suitability with your builder or engineer before selecting the product for a particular wall.
Pearl Fluted Stock bricks contain perforations, while our solid Pearl Stock Bricks have no holes through the brick body. Both products are offered for plastered masonry.
Choose according to the project specification, handling requirements and product availability. Perforations in a stock brick do not make the completed plastered wall a ventilation system.
For initial planning, allow approximately 55 bricks per m² for one brick layer, before wastage.
Using a 220 × 70 mm brick face and assumed 10 mm mortar joints gives a calculated coverage of approximately 54.3 bricks per m². The 55-brick allowance provides a convenient estimating rate; final quantities depend on actual joint thickness and construction details.

For an example 5% wastage allowance:
Net wall area × 55 × 1.05 = estimated order quantity
A 20 m² wall without openings requires approximately 1,100 bricks, or 1,155 bricks including the example 5% allowance.
