Pink clay bricks range from delicate blush and dusty rose to stronger salmon or red-pink blends. They create recognisable masonry with more softness than standard red and less orange than peach. This colour tag brings together relevant walling bricks and clay pavers so buyers can compare the actual products available.
Pink brick is highly sensitive to undertone. Some products lean warm and coral, while others appear cooler, mauve or greyed. Rough texture creates natural shadow that tempers the colour; smooth faces make it clearer and more uniform. View multiple units outdoors before deciding how dominant the pink character should be.
Compare the product with peach, plum and pale red samples so the dominant undertone is clear. Warm-white mortar softens the wall; neutral grey adds discipline; darker joints create a stronger bond pattern. Use a sample panel to test both colour and workmanship before the main build.
Used thoughtfully, pink brick can suit crafted contemporary homes, retro architecture, boutique commercial spaces and calm interiors. It need not appear decorative or feminine: charcoal metalwork, concrete and simple forms give it an architectural edge. Cream and timber create a softer, more relaxed result.

Suitability depends on the classification of the individual product. Options listed under this colour tag may include:
A face brick is a walling product and should not automatically be used for paving. For patios, paths and driveways, select a purpose-manufactured clay paver suitable for the expected pedestrian or vehicle traffic.
Measure the net area in square metres. For walls, multiply total wall length by height and subtract doors, windows and other openings. For paving, multiply the length by the width of each section and add the sections together.
| Application | Estimating rate | Formula |
| Single-skin face-brick wall | 55 bricks per m² | Net wall area x 55 |
| Double-skin face-brick wall | 110 bricks per m² | Net wall area x 110 |
| Clay paving | 50 pavers per m² | Paving area x 50 |
Worked example for 11 m²: allow 605 face bricks for a single-skin wall, 1,210 face bricks for a double-skin wall, or 550 clay pavers for a paved area of the same size. Round quantities up and ask the supplier or builder what additional allowance is appropriate for cuts, breakages, bond pattern and site conditions. Many clay products develop their colour through raw materials and firing, although manufacturing finishes differ. Check the product information.
Salmon is usually a warmer pink-orange shade. The broader pink tag may include blush, rose, salmon and dusty red-pink products.
Use simple wall forms, restrained mortar, charcoal frames and neutral adjacent finishes.
Warm light mortar gives a softer effect; grey mortar reduces sweetness and makes the bond more architectural.
Only if that product is identified and classified as a clay paver for the intended traffic.
